Wednesday – June 27, 2012
Today started at 6:00 am with packing and cleaning the cabin. We then went to the church area and said our goodbyes to the Pastor, Grace and so many of the kids and adults that came to see us off.
We loaded the truck and again rode in the back standing up. As we drove people would yell “Goodbye” and wave to us from their homes. What an experience.
At about 9:30 am we boarded the ferry and left. It was an old slow ferry. Definitely not like to first one. It took us 4 hours to cover what the other ferry did in 2 hours. It was very rough and at least one of the team got very seasick.
After arriving in St. Vincent we did some shopping and ate dinner. We walked through town to our hotel and checked in. The first thing most of us did was take a shower. It was the first shower we had had in a week. Wow did it feel good.
